主讲人简介：Anthony Chin 现任新加坡国立大学经济学系副教授、经济行政项目主管、新加坡国立大学交通研究中心首席研究员、新加坡国立大学海事经济学中心项目主管、新加坡国会交通委员会成员，荷兰AIRNETH研究员。Professor Anthony 在澳大利亚Macquarie University获得博士学位，主要研究方向是城市经济学、交通经济学、行为经济学及应用微观经济学。
摘要：
It is widely accepted that the notion of utility or value is influenced by deviations from a reference point as proposed in prospect theory rather than the final state of outcomes. Many studies have been carried out to understand the role of reference point in decision making within various context. This paper aims to ascertain the role of reference point and the impact of a negative shift in reference point on the choice behaviours of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) commuters in Singapore. Mixed logit and reference dependent utility specification were employed to model the choice behaviour of MRT commuters. The results confirm the loss aversion tendency for MRT commuters as well as behavioural changes when faced with negative shift in reference point. In particular, there was an increase in loss aversion for travel time and decrease in loss aversion for number of MRT delays.
